forever
flowers.
Whether it’s a bunch of blooms from an old friend, your beautiful wedding bouquet, or a handful of favourites from your garden at home, make them into a piece of art that endures.
your flowers, forever.
Pressing flowers, leaves, even seeds, can transform your important plants from a one-week wonder into a piece of art enjoyed for years to come.
I love to create intricate arrangements where the structure, pattern and texture of plants take centre stage. As the colours of the plant fragments mellow and change, a lace-like beauty remains.
Maybe you’ve seen something here that you love, or perhaps you have a specific design idea in mind.
I’d love to work with you.
“I must have flowers, always and always.”
— Claude Monet
botanical illustration.
An original piece of art is an exceptional gift. A painting or drawing of a favourite plant can mark a special occasion or achievement, a new home. Or simply to bring joy to your loved one, just because.
I work in watercolour and graphite, using traditional botanical illustration techniques — skills learned during my diploma studies at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Ideally I like to work from life. Given the seasonality and widely varying longevity of plants, commission projects require some planning.
Perhaps you have a specific plant or composition in mind. Or simply a colour, or season. I’d be delighted to discuss options and prices.
Costs are dependent on the complexity and detail of the subject rather than the size of the piece.
Send me a note, outlining your ideas and desired timeframes, and we’ll go from there. I look forward to working with you.
